Fictional Concept Study

Studio Noir

A one-page site for a salon, barber and beauty studio under one roof — our study in carrying one wordmark device, one dark ground and five very different services without the page fragmenting into five different brands.

Studio Noir concept — the homepage masthead: a dark espresso-coal field with a kinetic wordmark band, a rating HUD and a bold expanded headline over a warm-lit salon photograph.

01 Overview

A salon that also does barbering, nails, brows and bridal work almost always ends up looking like five separate businesses stapled onto one homepage. Studio Noir is our study in the opposite: one wordmark device, one dark ground, one accent — carried through Haare, Barber, Nägel, Beauty & Brows and Braut without a single section breaking the discipline.

Multi-service studios usually solve their range problem with a tab-per-service layout, and each tab quietly imports its own visual language — a different accent, a different card style — until the page reads like five vendors sharing a landlord instead of one atelier. The trust signal (rating, review count) also tends to get buried below the fold, right when a visitor is deciding whether to trust the place with their hair or their brows in the first ten seconds.

So every discipline runs through the same numbered, editorial rows instead of a grid of icon cards — Haare, Barber, Nägel, Beauty & Brows, Braut & Anlass read as one atelier index, not five menus. The rating (9,6/10, 214 reviews) sits in a live HUD in the hero, above the fold, before a single word of copy has to earn the visitor's trust on its own. And the wordmark's own signature — the dotless 'ı' whose tittle is a champagne bead — reappears at accent scale throughout the page, so the five services still read as one brand up close.

Studio Noir isn't a real salon. It's a design study — the salon, its team and every figure on the page are invented to explore an idea, not to stand in for a client.

02 Art Direction

One warm-lit hero, two closer readings — the full scene that opens the page, the beauty band that argues Studio Noir isn't just another barbershop, and the instrument crop that carries the same warm champagne light down to the smallest detail.

The Studio Noir hero photograph: a subject lit warm against a dark espresso-coal ground, with a scrolling kinetic wordmark band and a live rating HUD overlaid.
The look

The hero holds the whole scene — the subject lit warm against the espresso-coal ground, a kinetic wordmark band scrolling behind it and a rating HUD anchored bottom-right, so the page's trust signal and its art direction share the same frame instead of competing for one.

A close, warm-lit beauty photograph carrying the same champagne-gold and dusty-blush tones as the hero, used for the Beauty & Brows signature band.
Beauty & Brows

The signature band, lit in the same champagne-and-blush palette as the hero — the section that argues no ordinary barbershop in the city offers microblading, lash lifting and bridal styling under the same roof.

A close crop of salon and barber tools, lit in the same warm espresso-and-champagne tones as the rest of the page.
The tools

A material close-up of the studio's own instruments, cropped tight — the one place the craft itself, not the result, gets the frame, in the same warm light as everything above it.

03 Type & Colour

One expanded grotesque carries every headline at real presence — Archivo pushed wide and heavy exactly where a marquee lettering job would push it — a quieter grotesque handles every working sentence, and champagne gold is held to a single rule: never a full fill except on the one primary action.

Palette

The ground is an espresso-coal taken as seriously as the salon's own front door, not a generic dark theme. Champagne gold and dusty blush share the accent role — gold on hairlines, marquee stars and the primary button; blush only inside the mesh backdrop, never on type. Chrome carries every line of body text on the coal.

The page reads like the studio's own atelier index: the claim and live status first, then the full editorial range of services, then the signature Beauty & Brows band that sets Studio Noir apart, then transparent pricing, then 214 reasons to trust it. Nothing is dressed up to look bigger than what a five-discipline studio actually is.

The whole Studio Noir homepage as one continuous scroll, from the dark espresso-coal hero through Leistungen, the Beauty & Brows signature band, Preise, to Bewertungen.
The full one-page flow
  • The Studio Noir Leistungen section: five numbered rows of services, each with a short benefit line and a starting price.

    01 Leistungen

Five disciplines as one numbered, editorial index — Haare, Barber, Nägel, Beauty & Brows, Braut & Anlass — each with its own benefit line instead of a flat service grid, so the range reads as one atelier, not five menus.

  • The Studio Noir Beauty & Brows signature band: a full-bleed warm-lit photograph beside a list of beauty services.

    02 Beauty & Brows

The signature band, full-bleed and cinematic, arguing the one thing no ordinary barbershop in Erfurt offers — microblading, lash lifting, bridal styling — in the same warm light as the hero.

  • The Studio Noir Preise section: a transparent price list grouped by Haare, Barber, Beauty & Brows and Nägel.

    03 Preise

A transparent two-column price list, grouped by discipline, that answers the review platforms' single biggest complaint — price surprises — before a visitor ever has to ask.

  • The Studio Noir Bewertungen section: an aggregate rating figure beside four client review quotes spanning barbering, colour and beauty.

    04 Bewertungen

214 reviews set as data beside four real-voiced quotes from across every discipline the studio offers, not just haircuts — proof that the range itself holds up.

05 Mobile

A booking across five disciplines is usually decided on a phone, mid-scroll through a recommendation — the narrow screen keeps the claim, the live rating HUD and the booking button in the first view, with the kinetic wordmark band still scrolling behind everything.

Same range, one thumb — the claim and the booking button stay first, however far the page runs.

06 The Craft

Studio Noir isn't real. The discipline behind it is.

This is how SYNCUP carries one wordmark device and one dark ground across five very different services without the page fragmenting into five different brands — a signature interpreted, never copied, and carried all the way to the pixel.

Everything you just scrolled — the espresso-coal ground taken seriously, champagne gold held to one rule, the dotless-i bead reappearing at every scale — is what we bring to a real salon, barbershop or beauty studio. Yours would carry your own range, your own team and your own name.

STUDIO NOIR is a fictional salon — a design study by SYNCUP Agency. The salon, its team and its contact details are invented and don't represent a real business.
