Fictional Concept Study

KRONBERG

A cinematic site for a used-car dealership — our study in giving a dealer a channel of their own, instead of renting one from a portal.

KRONBERG concept — the homepage masthead: a white Mercedes-AMG on a rooftop deck above an old-town skyline at sunset, with the headline “Dein nächstes Auto — geprüft & mit Garantie”.

01 Overview

Germany's independent dealers run their business on mobile.de. Their own site — if it exists — is a one-page relic: a logo, a phone number, and a link out to the portal. KRONBERG is the site that changes which one is the shop window.

A dealer with a 4,8★ record and sixty cars on the lot sends every visitor to a portal where a competitor sits one click away. The reputation is real; it just isn't theirs to keep.

So we built the other version: a site that carries the trust the lot has already earned, shows the cars on the dealer's own domain, and never links out. Every browse button stays home.

KRONBERG isn't a real dealership. It's a design study — the brand, the cars and the reviews are invented to explore an idea, not to stand in for a client.

02 Art Direction

One hour, one car, one city. Every frame is the same golden hour over the same rooftop — so the site reads as authored photography, not a stock library with a logo dropped on top.

The KRONBERG hero photograph: a white Mercedes-AMG shot head-on on an empty rooftop parking deck, gothic spires and terracotta roofs behind it in golden haze.
The frame

A rooftop deck above an old-town skyline at sunset. The car is the hero, the city places it, and the empty deck below leaves room for the words.

The KRONBERG navigation: the wordmark rendered as live type over the hero photograph, with the phone and contact buttons on the right.
The wordmark stays out of the photo

Dealer sites bake the logo into the picture. We keep it as live type in the header — so the brand can change, or the photo can, without one dragging the other down.

The KRONBERG homepage on a phone: the car centred, the skyline behind it, and the headline sitting on dark concrete below.
Built for the hand

The phone frame isn't a crop of the desktop one — it's shot 9:16, so the car still owns the middle and the headline lands on empty deck.

03 Type & Colour

Two typefaces and four tones do the whole job. Montserrat shouts, Hanken Grotesk explains, and the red is spent — not sprinkled.

Palette

Near-black and warm paper carry every surface. The red appears three times on the whole page: the logo gem, one word, one button.

  • Night backgrounds & cinema #060606
  • Paper light sections #ECEBE9
  • Signal one word, one button #E4232D
  • Hairline rules & structure rgba(255,255,255,.14)

04 Desktop

The page is a sales conversation in order: show me the cars, tell me why you, prove it, let me ask. Each section earns the scroll to the next.

The whole KRONBERG homepage as one continuous scroll, from the dark hero through the light vehicle catalogue to the closing contact section.
The full one-page flow
  • The KRONBERG vehicle catalogue: a brand filter row, a large featured car, and a grid of vehicle cards on warm paper.

    01 Fahrzeuge

The catalogue lives on the dealer's own domain. A brand filter, an oversized highlight, then the grid — every card opens a real detail page, never a portal.

  • The KRONBERG trust section on near-black: large animated counters for stock, rating, reviews and years, beside four honest-dealer promises.

    02 Vertrauen

The reputation the lot already earned, finally on its own site: counters that count up, and four plain promises with no adjectives.

  • The KRONBERG reviews section: a large rating figure beside oversized customer quotes on a horizontal rail.

    03 Bewertungen

Reviews as editorial quotes on a rail, sized like they matter — not shrunk into a widget at the bottom of the page.

  • A KRONBERG vehicle detail page: a cinematic car hero, a gallery, a technical-data cluster and an enquiry form.

    04 Fahrzeugseite

Nine detail pages, all typed from one data source — so a real mobile.de or DMS feed drops in without a single component changing.

05 Mobile

Dealers get found on a phone, in a car park, mid-decision. The narrow screen keeps the same light, the same type and the same promise — nothing is dropped to make it fit.

Same brand, one hand — nothing dropped to fit the phone.

06 The Craft

KRONBERG isn't real. The craft behind it is.

This is how SYNCUP turns a lot full of cars into a brand people drive across the state to visit.

Everything you just scrolled — the photography, the type, the inventory architecture — is what we bring to a real dealership. Yours would carry your cars, your reviews and your name.

KRONBERG Automobile is a fictional dealership — a design study by SYNCUP Agency. The company, its address, its inventory and its reviews are invented and don't represent a real business.
